Consequence

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (a keratinocyte cancer);
10+ actinic keratoses is thought to be about 10 to 15%. 
A tender, thickened, ulcerated, or enlarging actinic keratosis is suspicious of evolution to SCC.
