Symptoms
Develops two to 10 days after exposure to legionella bacteria: Headache; Muscle aches; Fever that may be 40 C or higher; Slow onset of classic symptoms; By the second or third day: Cough, which might bring up mucus and sometimes blood; Shortness of breath; Chest pain; Nausea; Vomiting; Diarrhea; Confusion or other mental changes; Pontiac fever, mild form: fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, doesn't infect your lungs, symptoms usually clear within two to five days.
