Fine needle aspiration;
US doesn’t allow to recognise cancer behind the cyst;

4-5% of adults;
1 out of 10 cancer;
Death: 1:1 mln;
Higher if: Child, elderly, history of external radiation, male, family history of thyroid cancer lymphadenopathy;

TreatmentOptions

Type:
Papillary (radiation of head and neck). Survival rate: 95% 10 years;

Follicular (older patients), can metastasizes to bones end other distal places;

Medullary:
-	MEN IIa, IIb;
-	Familial solitary;

Anaplastic (elderly, worse prognosis);

Treatment: thyroidectomy and suppression of TSH;
