Best initial test: CT without contrast Most accurate test: Lumbar puncture showing blood (only necessary for 5% false negative CT) – may be negative in the beginning Normal WBC/RBC ratio WBC can mimic meningitis. But RATIO IS NORMAL: 1 WBC for every 500 to 1000 RBCs. Angiogram – shows where is the problem?
