Pain in your back or side that doesn't go away;
Palpable abdominal mass;

Male may have left sided varicocele;
CVA (+)

ClinicalTests

UA (RBC): Renal labs, urine dipstick, urine microscopy, blood, high Ca;
CT of Chest/Abdominal/Pelvis with contrast;
US - less sensitive;
MRI for spread or if contrast is not tolerated, biopsy;

RiskFactors

Smoking;
Obesity;
Hypertension;
Toxic exposures;
Acquired cystic kidney disease associated with end-stage renal disease (ESRD);
Age (after 60);

Metastases: Lung, liver, lymph nodes, bone, brain;

Can produce androgenic or estrogenic steroids;
