Moisturizing skin (dry skin itchier);
Use humidifier (esp. in winter);
Avoid bathing, soap, and washcloths (skin hyperirritable);
Use cotton cloths;
UV light therapy for severe disease

PharmOptions

Topical corticosteroids (start with low potency);
Antihistamines (severe – diphenhydramine, very sedative);
Antibiotics for staph and strep (cephalexin, mupirocin) with impetigo;
Severe: immunosuppressants (methotrexate, cyclosporine)
